Jennifer Montiel is an author, publisher, advocate, and former law enforcement professional based in Texas. A mother of three and founder of Monarch Story House, she is dedicated to creating stories that explore resilience, healing, identity, culture, family, and the power of personal transformation.

Jennifer served in law enforcement for more than fourteen years before stepping away from the profession in April 2026. Throughout her career, she worked closely with families and communities, experiences that deeply influenced the themes found throughout her writing. Her work reflects the realities of trauma, recovery, hope, and the strength required to overcome life's challenges.

Her journey as an author began with her children's series, The Adventures of Michael & Chepe, inspired by her son Michael's bond with his beloved plush horse. What started as a simple bedtime story evolved into Monarch Story House, a family-driven publishing company dedicated to bilingual storytelling, culture, faith, and meaningful family connections.

Through Monarch Story House, Jennifer has developed a growing collection of English and Spanish children's books, including The Adventures of Michael & Chepe: A Journey of Friendship and Imagination, Spooky October Fun, Día de los Muertos, Easter Joy, Christmas Traditions, and other titles centered on family values, friendship, courage, and belonging.

Jennifer's catalog also includes Lula's Pawprint: The Brave Little Mutt, Don't Run Mop: A Story About Coming Home and more titles.

Expanding beyond children's literature, Jennifer began writing books that address healing, personal growth, and human connection. Her adult works include Twin Flames Under the Moon: If Time Had Chosen Us, Raised by Silence: Surviving Narcissistic Parents & Ending the Cycle, and Strong Women Break Too.

As a survivor and advocate, Jennifer uses her platform to support victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and childhood trauma. Through her books, public speaking, and community outreach, she seeks to encourage healing, resilience, and meaningful conversations about overcoming adversity.

Jennifer's work has been featured through television, radio, podcasts, and newspaper interviews across the United States and Mexico. Her appearances include coverage by KVIA ABC El Paso, El Diario de Juárez, Televisa, Telediario Monterrey, and numerous regional media outlets.

Beyond books, Jennifer creates companion songs, educational content, animations, and family-centered resources that extend the storytelling experience beyond the page. Through Monarch Story House, she continues to expand a growing collection of bilingual stories and inspirational works for readers of all ages.
