Jeremy R. Strong is a creative writer and academic. He is the author of the "Lectures on Weird Fiction" series, a 30 book, 3 volume lecture series on the weird motif. Strong also writes poetry, short fiction, longer works and screenplays. He is the author of the horror story “The Weight of Thought”, published in The Shadow Over Portage and Main by Enfield and Wizenty Press (2016), and the science fiction story “The Wormwood Proxy” published in Detectives of the Fantastic Vol. IV by Horrified Press (2016). As an academic, Strong has also co-edited a collection of critical essays entitled Imagining the End: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Apocalypse, published by Inter-Disciplinary Press (2015). His dissertation "Anthropocene Entanglements" engages in a sustained study of environmental subtext in science fiction. The Tethering, Strong’s first published novella, is the first in an apocalyptic trilogy of stories. Strong resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba with his wife Jessie and his children Samantha, Quin and Ora.
