Jesús María Sáez, also known as "Txusmi Sáez" (Vitoria-Gasteiz, April 14, 1966) is a multifaceted Vitorian from the world of culture; Basque writer, columnist, radio presenter and author specializing in crime novels, police novels and action thrillers (although he also works on the humorous genre and children's literature). In 2016, for three years, he collaborated weekly on Sundays with a column in the Álava Newspaper. Since then, he has participated in various opinion media and has directed and presented every Tuesday in 2020 and 2021 the cultural program on books and literature "Peligro: escritores sueltas" on Radio Siberia FM, a local station in Vitoria where, Together with Begoña Arnillas, he gave a voice, above all, to self-published authors and writers or outside the scope of the large publishing houses. Since 2021 he coordinates for the Vitoria City Council the crime and crime novel reading club at CC Iparralde. He is a member of Krelia, Literary Creators of Álava, of the Euskadi Writers Association, of CEDRO and, likewise, a convinced and consistent member of Greenpeace, Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders for more than 25 years. He is the founder in 2023 and, since then, director of the Vitoria Black and Police Novel Festival: "Vitoria-NeGrasteiz", a benchmark in the Basque Country and in northern Spain within the noir, police and thriller genre, along with the lawyer criminologist Alberto Gredilla, co-founder and of the event. Within his extensive literary work, one can cite "The Eastern European Trilogy" composed of "Siberia" (a book that became the best-seller on Amazon Spain globally), "Kazakhstan" (a work selected by the Jury of the Euskadi for Literature 2021) and "Moscow". Among his crime novels and crime novels, it is worth noting the successes "Poniente" and "Pandora" (the latter, the starting point of the series about the Ertzaintza researcher Maialen Guevara). Other published titles are: «Misión Jaqueca», «Jokes candied», «How to publish a book without dying trying», «39 jumps in the puddle» (anthology of stories by various authors) and «Bus stories». "Siberia" has been translated into English and several of his novels have been turned into audiobooks by Sonolibro and Saga Egmont, the digital publisher of the Nordic countries and part of the Danish Lindhardt & Ringhof. His latest release in 2023 is the thriller "Women Hold Up Half the Sky."
