Growing up an orphan, Jeter Isely has always pursued a life of adventures cowboying in Australia, to hitchiking through Africa, and traveling the world.

His first book, The Walking Y, was even written as he worked as a cowboy in Montana more than 40 years ago. Since publishing this book at last in 2020, he has released a memoir about his life of adventures, and is working on a second western, a sequel to the first, which is called The Buffalo Gun, which will release in 2023.

Now he lives on his ranch in Kansas, where he tends a small herd of rescued horses, a large herd of Belted Galloway cattle, and farms organic wheat with his wife. He is a loving and proud father, a farmer, a rancher, and squeezes in time wherever possible to pursue his passion of writing.
