In 1993, I won first prize in a national magazine’s short story writing contest for which Ray Bradbury and Robert Bloch were judges, an award which held special meaning, as Bloch remains my favorite writer and main literary influence. I have had essays, articles and reviews printed in a variety of publications, including FilmFax, Scary Monsters and Castle of Frankenstein. I am the author of two books: It Came From...The Stories and Novels Behind Classic Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction Films as well as Robert Bloch: An Unconventional Bibliography. A long-time community activist, I am particularly committed to the cause of animal rescue. I live in the historic harbor town of Marblehead, MA.
