Joan C Benson is a freelance writer, a former reading specialist and educator, wife, mother of four adult children, and a proud grandmother to eight cherished grandchildren. She has been a contributing author to numerous magazines from children to adult content. With a long career of writing for English language learners, Joan has contributed to both student and teacher programs for various educational publishers creating all genres of texts and curriculum. Joan is an inspirational speaker, an author of devotionals for CBN.com, and numerous articles for "The Christian Leader," the esteemed alumni magazine for Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She previously authored children's ministry curriculum for LifeWay Publishing for twelve years. Joan is a member of the Christian Author's Network, the American Fiction Christian Writers, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
