Her 28 years of experience as a psychotherapist has taught Dr. Jodi how to understand people, their behaviors, and their feelings. Through her books, speaking, and social media, she gives people tools to heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Jodi shares how to shift negative thinking, change unwanted situations, and finally stop the out-of-control downward spiral by releasing that internal self-critic. She is a 'lead-by-example' teacher. Despite seeing the depths of hell when she was immobilized by panic and anxiety, she clawed her way back to life and taught herself to master happiness. Most self-help authors tell you what to do. Dr. Jodi shows you. Dr. Jodi completed her Master's in Science in Social Work from Columbia University (1996) and her Doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University (2023). She has studied and taught Narrative Therapy around the world, focusing on trauma and anxiety recovery. In 2024, she released a mental wellness curriculum called COMPASS for middle and high school health classes. Through COMPASS, her TEDxWilmington talk, "Calm Anxious Kids," and her bestselling books, "You 1, Anxiety 0," and "Anxiety... I'm So Done with YOU!" Dr. Jodi is changing the way we understand stress and anxiety.
