Joe Tucker is the author of The Secret Painter, a memoir-biography of his ordinary-yet-extraordinary uncle, Eric Tucker – an unknown manual labourer in life, posthumously recognised as an accomplished artist. An award-winning filmmaker and scriptwriter, Joe originally trained as an animation director at the National Film & Television School, before building a career in television as a writer and producer. He is the co-creator and co-writer of the BBC comedies Witless, Click & Collect and Black Ops. The Secret Painter is his first book.
