John started his career as a medical assistant in the Royal Air Force and has been involved in health and social care ever since. Part of his journey took him into the depths of addiction losing everything and then on into the world of recovery and the joy that comes with that. He is the driving force behind Somerton Lodge, an alcohol free hotel on the beautiful Isle of Wight. The Lodge is the centre of John’s work which includes the development of books, training, rehab manuals and coaching with the hotel now being the connecting point where work is done to develop these ideas and plans and host recovery focussed retreat work. Lately John has enjoyed writing fictional works and plans to publish some short stories, he has just released his first childrens picture book.
