After his discharge in 1960, Johnny Lang left the US Army with 2 years of honorable service and countless memories of befriending the King of Rock & Roll and his cohorts. Married, in 1962, he went on to have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Mr. Lang resides in Metro Detroit where he often reflects on that time period among family, friends, and legions of Elvis fans with great fondness. He was inspired to write this book, over 60 years in the making, after numerous visits to Las Vegas and Memphis. In his travels, he's met some remaining members of the 'Memphis Mafia' as well as interacted with several Elvis Presley Fan Club Officers and fans all over the world.
