Professor Emeritus of English (University of Alberta), Jon C. Stott grew up in Victoria, B.C. During his professional career, at Western Michigan University and the University of Alberta, Jon wrote such books as "Native Americans in Children's Literature" and "Canadian Children's Books" (with Raymond E. Jones). Since retirement his has written many books on minor league professional sports, including "Ice Warriors: The Pacific Coast / Western Hockey League: 1948-1974" and "Canadian Minor League Baseball: A History Since World War II," and beer travel guides including the award winning "Island Craft: Your Guide to the Breweries of Vancouver Island" and "Yooper Ale Trails: Craft Breweries and Brewpubs of Michigan's Upper Peninsula." For over half a century, he has been spending extended summers in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He now spends the cold weather months in Albuquerque, NM.
