Joseph H. Shieber is the James Renwick Hogg Professor of Mental and Moral Philosophy at Lafayette College. He earned a BA in Literature from Yale University, studied mathematics and philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin, and earned AM and PhD degrees in Philosophy from Brown University. Professor Shieber has published a number of articles in epistemology, philosophy of language, and the history of modern philosophy in some of the top journals in the field of philosophy.
