My stories study the human condition, it is every soul’s story to a degree. A fool’s journey is about a young man and his search for where he is going with his adventures. Based in the medieval land of Tarot, where the characters were created from an old, rare, deck of Victorian romantic cards. The fool, nameless, so everyone can identify with him, sets out on a path that leads him to love, lust, and temptation as the soul embarks on his search. The characters he meets on the way and how they persuade him to carry their baggage along with him. ‘To Dance with a Devil’, changes in era to the 1920’s and a new ‘fool’, an entrepreneur, decides to open his very own art gallery. After borrowing an excessive amount of money, to fund his enterprise, he becomes embroiled in a sinister cult, as in his haste and hunger, he signs on the dotted line. With great consequences. He explores his own moral compass as he is thrown onto a path of his own self worth, and depravity. He is torn between, what is right or wrong. Has everyone got a price? My passion is human emotions, looking at how we deal with love, vulnerability, trust, happiness, fear and anger and how changing the way we think affects how we feel and how we behave.
