Karen Runge is the author of Seven Sins: Stories (Concord Free Press), Seeing Double (Grey Matter Press), and Doll Crimes (Crystal Lake Publishing), which was later produced for Audible. Her standalone short stories are scattered across various magazines and anthologies. Dubbed 'The Queen of Extreme' and 'Princess of Pain' by various bloggers and book reviewers, Jack Ketchum once said in response to one of her stories: 'Karen, you scare me.' Born in France to a travelling family, Runge later lived in the UK and in China before settling back in her native South Africa. A nature lover who prefers country life, these days she can often be found in the mountains near her home, climbing the cliffs or camping with her rescue dog. She is currently working on her third novel.
