Kathleen Peroff is the author of War’s Labyrinth and Secrets of Leningrad. Her fiction draws on a career in national security and extensive international travel, including time spent in China in the mid-1980s and the Soviet Union during its final months in 1991. Her novels explore the intersection of personal lives and global events, focusing on the human consequences of political power and conflict. She lives in Northern Virginia and is currently at work on her third historical novel, set in part in Harbin, China.
