I also write under the name M. K. Waller. My story "When Cheese Is Love" appears in Austin Mystery Writers' second crime fiction anthology, LONE STAR LAWLESS (Wildside Press, 2017). My share of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Ellis Memorial Public Library in Port Aransas, Texas, which lost all of its collections in Hurricane Harvey. "I'll Be a Sunbeam," written under the name M. K. Waller, appears in DAY OF THE DARK: Stories of Eclipse, edited by Kaye George (Wildside, July 2017). My share of the proceeds are donated to the Texas Museum of Science and Technology in Cedar Park, Texas. "A Nice Set of Wheels" and "Hell on Wheels" appear in Austin Mystery Writers' MURDER ON WHEELS, edited by Ramona DeFelice Long (Wildside, 2015). My share of the proceeds from the book are donated to Meals on Wheels in Austin, Texas. I also have stories in Mysterical-E, Story Circle Journal, and Story Circle's Real Women Write Anthology. I'm a former teacher, former librarian, former paralegal, and former pianist at various small churches desperate for someone who could find middle C. I grew up in a small town in Central Texas and many of my stories reflect life there. I read and write. I enjoy naming my characters. I have two cats and one husband.
