Katie Hornor is a prolific Christian author, business strategy coach to coaches and course business, and an international speaker.  Katie and her husband, Tap, left all they had in the United States for a ministry opportunity overseas, only to have their dreams pulled out from under them. The Hornors bounced back to build a business in their second language among the fastest growing market demographic in the world, and then began teaching what they had learned to others. For over a decade Tap and Katie blazed a trail for the homeschool movement in Latin America. With the invention of the first Spanish language literature-based curriculum method, the Hornors were the first in history to host an online summit for Spanish speaking home educators. Hispanic families around the world would no longer suffer for lack of resources, making possible the personalized education and improved future for their children. In addition to the Prek- 6th grade curriculum at Lemonhass®, Katie created 25 online courses during this time. She self-published over 50 books (including the popular "Faith Like Flamingos", "The Flamingo Advantage" and 8 other best-sellers).  Her Christian Business Podcast, The Flamingo Advantage, provides inspiring interviews and practical business training weekly and she posts daily M-F to her YouTube channel. Katie’s inspirational story of ex-missionary to six-figure expat business owner began over 12 years ago at her kitchen table while balancing a baby on her lap. In 2022, she was named one of the top 10 entrepreneurs to watch by FOX, NBC and CBS. Katie’s Master's degree in Education and teaching experience in different fields has distinguished her as a leader in the world of online courses and curriculum development. And in 2023 she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the 48Days Institute. Having studied under some of the biggest names in the speaker, influencer & online marketing space, Katie has been welcomed on their stages and has quickly become the go-to resource for her "experience first" "marketplace missions" and “business as worship” methods and mindset.  The key to her success begins with submitting all to the knowledge and leading of God as the Owner of her business, while implementing systems for mastery, then iterating and always including an element of fun and a view towards legacy impact.  Katie’s Bible-based marketing and student experience strategies have helped clients double their income, let their spouses retire, and create businesses they enjoy - all without compromising their faith, their family or their values.  Born in Binghamton, NY, in 1979, Katie currently serves her people from her home abroad in Campeche, México where she and her husband manage their online businesses, local airbnb, and continued speaking ministry.
