Katie Rasoul is the author of her first (but certainly not last) children's book, The Llama and the Balloon (2024). This is a story about how quiet characters make friends, see the world, and be themselves. Illustrated by Lauren Fantin, the adorable illustrations and serene settings are a great foundation for a book that features friendship and a quiet and content main character enjoying the life around him. Katie Rasoul is the author of Hidden Brilliance: A High-Achieving Introvert’s Guide to Self-Discovery, Leadership and Playing Big (2018). It is an Amazon Best Seller from several categories, including Business & Money Skills, Communication, and Motivational. The book, Hidden Brilliance, was born out of a personal pivot point her career that led to the incredible TEDx talk, “Uncovering the High-Achieving Introvert”, that she presented at TEDxUWMilwaukee in 2017. Katie has spent her career leading leadership, organizational development and HR best practices for more than a decade. Today, she is a leadership coach and keynote speaker helping leaders level up through her company, Team Awesome. Katie is an expert in the fields of talent development, leadership, workplace experience, and personal development. She currently resides in the metro area of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband Jason and two children. Katie is a proud advocate for her awesome hometown of Milwaukee, and dedicates significant time to advancing women in leadership, advocating for education, and community organizing. She is a macaroni and cheese aficionado, speaks French, and hopes to join the roller derby someday.
