Katja Rowell MD is a family doctor and responsive feeding specialist on a mission to bring peace and joy back to the family table. Described as, “academic, but warm and down to earth,” she is a popular speaker and has appeared in numerous publications. Rowell believes that helping children grow up to have a healthy relationship with food and their bodies is preventive medicine. Rowell has a passion for helping adoptive and fostering families who face unique challenges with feeding. She also supports parents dealing with a child's "food preoccupation," as well as avoidant eating. She is part of a multi-disciplinary team of feeding experts developing the Responsive Feeding Therapy framework. Rowell enjoys camping with her family and cooking.
