Katrina Garrett grew up on the south side of Chicago. She is the mother of 3 children. As an educator, Katrina intentionally uses her passion for teaching to plant seeds of achievement in youth. Along with her love for children, she has a special interest in the advocacy for empowering women and girls. She believes being healthy physically, spiritually and mentally honors a connection to ones purpose. Katrina's first book "Standing Inside Myself A journey of Self-love, Wisdom, Power and Purpose" shares her healing journey and renewed faith in God after her divorces. She shares lessons that she has learned about herself and the stages of growth that she experienced. With God and Words being the lifeline in her life journey; she is committed to continue to write books that will inspire, educate and spiritually uplift those who are heavily burdened from life challenges. Katrina will continues to explore topics of the heart to encourage others to become greater expressions of themselves. More books are coming. Katrina also loves reading, dancing, traveling, and experiencing nature.
