Peyton, educator, writer and inventor, and Melba Pattillo Beals ( one of "The Little Rock Nine" students ordered to desegregate U.S. public schools in the 1954 Supreme Court ruling, Brown v. Board of Education and author of "Warriors Don't Cry"); I understand the importance of history in true memoirs and historical fiction writing. A voracious reader from the age of four, I've shaped my world through reading. It is my strength and vision to receive- from others- the utmost fulfillment through the written word. Author of the 4-book MILCREEK Series which begins with MILCREEK POND and INDIGO SKY--adventurous tales, based on real life characters and written with youth and the entire family in mind. These true dramatic accounts reveal documented, family and historical events which demonstrate hope and a search for truth and justice.
