Keijo Kangur is an author and photographer from Estonia who has published poetry, film and video game reviews, historical and philosophical articles, short stories, travelogues, photo books, and a novel. He writes in both Estonian and English. Coming from a working-class background, he has worked as a telemarketer, in construction, at a warehouse, at a pizza parlor, as a postal sorter, at call centers, as a data entry clerk, for an airline, and as an anti-money laundering and fraud investigator. Among his favorite authors are Bukowski, John Fante, Dan Fante, and Mark SaFranko. His favorite novel is No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai. He prefers shorter works to longer ones. And he's not a fan of books with nothing to say. His own works fall mainly into the genre of literary realism, with a focus on the darker and seedier side of human existence. Nevertheless, he thinks that every story should have at least some hope or humor in it, just like real life. With each book he writes, he tries to do something he hasn't done before, just to keep it interesting.
