Kel Byron began her writing career in college, where she would disgust her classmates on purpose. Inspired by works such as John Carpenter’s “The Thing” and H.P. Lovecraft’s “Color Out of Space”, she began posting stories to Reddit’s NoSleep forum as a love letter to creature features, body horror, and the fear of the unknowable. To her surprise, her work gained a modest but loyal following, inspiring her to publish her first novel. She continues to terrify with her distinctive mix of cosmic horrors and contemporary folklore. Kel currently lives in Michigan and spends her time doing animal rescue work and making different kinds of soup.
