Ken is a music editor and professional musician by trade, and is married to Brenda Barker. Together they have raised eleven children. Their family is a little “United Nations,” because each of their children has been adopted from another country—India, China, Latvia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, and the Philippines. Ken Barker chronicles their journey of building a family through adoption, homeland journeys when their children were older, and their oldest son's double battle with childhood leukemia in his cinematic book, "Coming Home".
