About the author . . . Kenneth D. Maness lives near Austin, Texas, with his wife. His work history includes the tech industry, Texas state government, and the U.S. Army. Hobbies include gaming, reading, and storytelling, (to include writing). The Desire Trilogy is his first published work, however, we anticipate it will not be his last. Desire: The Door is the long-awaited third book of the story, completing a twenty-five-year journey.. "In many regards, the story took on its own life. It didn't want to properly end during my first run in 1996 when I attempted to tell the tale in one book," Ken confides. "That's when I decided it couldn't be properly told in one book and needed the trilogy format to give it justice."
