Kevin Alexander is a James Beard Award-winning journalist and recipient of the Society of Professional Journalist’s Mark of Excellence Award. He's the co-author of Keith Corbin's memoir California Soul (Random House, 2022), which was a Los Angeles Times bestseller, and the S.E. Boyd novel The Lemon (Viking, November 2022), which Lee Child called "laugh-out-loud sensational." His 2019 book Burn The Ice: The American Culinary Revolution and Its End (Penguin Press) was an Amazon Editors Pick, and deemed "sharply insightful" by The Times Literary Supplement, and they're British! His work has appeared in Esquire, Elle, Men’s Journal, The New Republic, and the Boston Globe, and he is a 2018 and 2020 Association of Food Journalists award winner. Alexander has made multiple appearances on NPR’s All Things Considered, and been featured as a restaurant industry expert in the Washington Post and dozens of other publications in the US and internationally. He holds an MFA in Fiction from Emerson College, an MS in Narrative Journalism from Boston University, and a BS in Political Science from Trinity College, where he played soccer somewhat poorly.
