“Biohacking is the next evolution of health & fitness.” It was 2006 when Kusha Karvandi had just left his hometown of Beaverton, Oregon for sunnier aspirations. He had just finished his first year at University of Oregon and decided to move San Diego. Shortly after enrolling in UC-San Diego’s pre-med program he got, what then began as, a side job as a personal trainer. And then the magic happened. Like most 19 year-olds he really had no idea what he really wanted to do with his life, but within 6 months he knew he had found his real passion. And it wasn’t medicine. The company he was working for at the time had gone a through a re-organization, and through some stroke of luck he managed to get a promotion to Personal Training Manager. Thanks to a few great mentors, he began mastering the nuances of both business and personal training. After traveling across the country to run clubs in various markets, he finally had an epiphany – why weren’t gym members provided with a roadmap to success?
