Laura Stewart lives in a picturesque village just outside of Glasgow with her husband and three daughters, along with an affectionate golden retriever, excitable black lab and three discerning cats. As well as constantly being in need of a good hoovering, her house is noisy and chaotic and she wouldn't have it any other way. After studying English Literature at Glasgow University, she attended some creative writing evening classes and was delighted to find herself amongst like-minded folk with a passion for writing. Her debut novel was shortlisted to the final few of the Richard and Judy Search for a Bestseller competition. When not writing, Laura is usually to be found reading; with at least a couple of books on the go at any one time. She also enjoys losing herself in art galleries and cooking up hearty meals to be enjoyed well into the evening with good wine and good friends. She has lofty ambitions for her garden and recently joined a local community choir. One day she hopes to add bees, ducks and a couple of alpacas to her menagerie.
