I am a lawyer, a teacher, and a writer, but I am mostly a student. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is to expect the unexpected and to never give up hope. As a population, however, we have turned to that screen, that pesky screen. You know - the one mounted to your wall, the one nesting on the stand, the one you are looking at right now. And what do we see? Fire. Protests. Riots. Violence. We see "reporters" showing us the carnage and telling us what to believe. And since a lot of us can't leave our homes, we believe them. We believe that there are two sides, good and evil, at work. And we choose our side based upon what station we watch. But what's really going on in these participants' heads? Can it really be as simple as good vs. evil? What's the end game? As Lazarus, I am writing several novellas, each focusing on a different inner war we are facing in this Country and the World for I believe that there can be hope after destruction and chaos.
