Leanne W. Smith is an author and professor. Her debut historical fiction novel, Leaving Independence (Waterfall Press, 2016) was an Amazon bestseller shortlisted for an Inspie Award. A Contradiction to His Pride followed in 2018, and her latest, Alone in a Cabin (2021) is a contemporary romantic suspense about a woman who meets a mysterious stranger when she rents “the perfect writer’s retreat.” Smith is also on the Lipscomb College of Business faculty where she teaches Business Communication, Women in Business, and An Entrepreneur’s Intro to Business classes. She has led 8 international trips with students and been a guest lecturer in Lipscomb’s LIFE program at the TN women’s prison.
