On THIS ONE SKY DAY/POPISHO:

“Popisho mixes lush, descriptive prose with the unrepentant wildness of folktales. Hands that can heal, palms that glow silver, body parts that abruptly fall off even though their owners keep living. The fierceness of this novel in its imagery, in its ideas about women, the way it spoke to so many concerns of now drew me in, but the caramel of the relationships, the way Ross writes about intimacy kept me enthralled.” – Megan Giddings, author of Lakewood

“I feel like I have been waiting my whole life to read a novel this expansive, this generous, this full of magic and massive personality. Ross is a marvel of a writer...” – Amber Sparks, author of And I Do Not Forgive You

"This One Sky Day blisters with life, love, grief and magic." - Niven Govinden, author of This Brutal House

"Beautiful and heartbreaking; magical and devastating." - James Smythe, author of The Machine & I Still Dream

On COME LET US SING ANYWAY:

It really is a fantastic read. Ross's wild imagination is always elegant, pitch perfect and illuminating. These stories take on our selves as complicated sexual beings and makes sense of it all. No other writer I know if could have written this. - Kei Miller

"To read Leone Ross' stories is to be witness to an expert conjuring act in which fantasy and reality collide in breathtaking, beautiful ways. She sees the world through fractured glass, but the reflection is somehow inspiring and true." - Rob Shearman

- World Literature Today
"There is no shortage of powerful material in this excellent tale of discrimination, fear and prejudice in New York and the horrors of the KKK in the Deep South. Very much for the Alice Walker/Toni Morrison market and much praised by our reader. Flawless."
- The Bookseller
"Chillingly real--raw, naked in its desperation, darting to the edge of sanity and back. Ross has created a powerful story and unforgettable characters."
- Booklist
