For the last decade or so, Lez has been concentrating on training, and writing, for pet dog owners, showing them how, through changing their own behaviour and attitudes allows them to have the best possible relationship with their family dogs. She kind of ‘fell into’ writing when she was teaching people how to train their pet gundogs which is one of her passions in life. Her first book, The Pet Gundog, quickly turned into a series of books to include The Pet Gundog Puppy and The Advanced Pet Gundog. By request from her fellow behaviourists and trainers, she embarked on a non-gundog puppy training book, Manners not Mayhem which in June 2019 won an International Book Award (Animals/Pets: General category). Author, Mentor, Trainer all rolled into one, Lez's passion for dogs led her to gaining a Masters Degree in Canine Behaviour and Psychology and dedicating most of her time to not only writing about dog behaviour, but helping people repair their relationships with their family dog and have harmony at home. Lez lives in South Lanarkshire with her husband and her two gorgeous pet gundogs.
