Linda Anderson, New York Times bestselling author of A DOG NAMED LEAF with her husband Allen, are coauthors of a series of popular books, published in multiple languages, about the benefits of human-animal companionship. In 1996 they co-founded the Angel Animals Network to honor and expand upon their lifelong love of animals. The book's publication launched her on a worldwide tour that included speaking at spiritual conferences and seminars throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. The Andersons' books won recognition from the American Society of Journalists & Authors Outstanding Book Award program. Linda and Allen were named Partners and Friends of the American Humane Association in recognition that their mission and efforts are in alignment with the organization's work. They received a Minnesota Governor's award for their contributions to the state as authors. Over the decades of their writing careers, Linda and Allen Anderson raised two children along with family-member pets. They currently share their home in Minneapolis with a dog named Leaf and Sunshine, a cockatiel who says, "I love you, sweet baby."
