Linda F. Barrett began traveling and living in the UK and in Europe in 1981 while practicing international commercial law as an American lawyer, and studying European cultures and their history. She is a native of Texas and speaks Spanish and French. She published her first book Circle to Paris in July 2022 which became an Amazon International Best Seller and ranked as #1 Hot New Release in thirteen categories in the USA, Australia, Canada and France. Return to Paris, the sequel to her first book will be published in digital and paperback versions in June 2025. She has also published a short story of the history of Aptot, Normandy, France. The stories and characters in her books are inspired by the beauty and culture of France and other European countries. The strongest motivation for her books are the rich, rewarding and fascinating lives of the many people in those countries that she has encountered throughout her European experience lasting more than 40 years. Her writing is dedicated to raising awareness of the long and powerful history of the events and places written about in her books and the impact such history continues to make on our daily lives, especially the lives of young women in the present day. In particular, the themes in her books are created to inspire and empower women, of all ages, to pursue their dreams and objectives and to overcome their obstacles with self-love, discipline and courage. Linda lives with her husband and with her rescue dogs and donkeys in Texas and sometimes in Normandy, France where they continue to restore historical monuments, including Chateau de Aptot, built in 1632 and Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Aptot, a 12th Century church.
