Marcus Epictetus is a California-based American author whose primary area of study and expertise lies in Stoicism. He has been practicing this philosophy for over 15 years, ever since he read about it as an undergraduate during his time at Stanford University's Humanities Program.
In between practices, Marcus enjoys travelling internationally exploring Mediterranean countries like Italy or Croatia while being open-minded enough to experience new cultures when they're offered up before you - no matter how strange they may seem initially.
Marcus is incredibly interested in cultures around the world and how they differ immensely from each other. Marcus believes that the reason for this is due to our upbringing, experiences and social circles. However, he firmly believes it is never too late to learn about other cultures or belief systems as existing outside your bubble can be very beneficial - you will see things from a different perspective, which will allow you to think more objectively!
