We are a couple both in real and literary life. Massimo is a 3D graphic designer, Maria Grazia has a Master's degree in Law and currently works as an administrative employee. We live in the Venice region, in a small town surrounded by fields, where people still say hello to each other even if they are strangers. Our life revolves around our two kids. We love writing together fantasy tales for readers of any age. We have had different educations. Hence, our personal relationships with the world of reading are also different. Maria Grazia learned how to read so that she could read tales herself. She loves any book genre, from classics to crime books and poetry. Her favourite authors are Dostoevsky and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Massimo has learned to appreciate books in his youth. His favourite author is Pirandello. On top of that, he also appreciates the great Russian novelists. Maria Grazia has always dreamed of writing her own fiction but in the past had failed to find the courage to. On the other hand, Massimo, who is more impulsive by nature, had always asked her to write together up until two years, when he finally managed to convince her. By doing so, we have found that we are compatible also in the literary life. As a matter of fact, we enjoy and have fun writing fiction together. During the actual writing process we alternate so that we can compensate for the "writer's blocks" each of us experiences. Afterwards, we edit the passages that were written singularly. By doing so, each part becomes a product of both our minds. We rarely write the chapter together sentence by sentence during the first draft. Massimo is in charge with the design of the book cover as well as of the images. In 2018 the novel "Quarter Moon" was born. The world in which Elio escaped might not be entirely figment of his imagination, but rather a web that was weaved around him. During a holiday in the countryside, he will have the chance to meet a Sentinel that will reveal the truth to him. Alongside a funny group of friends, both real and imaginary, he will fight in order to gain back his freedom. Taken from the blog emilycross2017: "M.G. Gullo and M. Longo's pen creates a magical and fantastic painting that enchants the readers and carries them toward the ending in a swirl of legends and adventures. It is an enchanted and fantastic world were potions, infusions and necklaces, combined with respect and love, will defeat the oblivion demon. The descriptive and delicate style of the authors gives life to scenarios worthy of the most famous film sets. Recommended reading for both adults and children (not too young)." Seven Planets, soon to be published in English, is the first novel we have ever written. We are envisaging a sequel whose plot is going to be developed in more than one volume. We love the fantasy genre, and Seven Planets can be more particularly included in the science fiction genre since it is set in the space. We have imagined a Solar System where all planets are inhabited. In a scenario filled with unknown environments and technologies, different races will join forces in fantastic adventures in order to fight against General Ruegra's hunger for territory, the charming enemy in our story. The latter is in charge of the Anics, an aggressive population, and he will try to impose his rule on the entire solar system. It is a tale of friendship and courage, where the main characters use every means at their disposal: cunning, culture, strength, ability, but also loyalty and sacrifice. In addition, we also enjoy writing tales for the younger audience. Our stories are the written adaption of some of the tales we had made up for our kids. They reflect our need to convey a message to them through the narrative art. The first of our tales, Super Grassy, was born from the necessity to let our kids understand that differences can be a positive thing, and not necessarily a disadvantage. On the other hand, Lazy Monster urges the young reader not to be settled down in front of the TV all the time. Lucilla on the Clouds teaches children not to have their heads on the clouds when they are assigned with an important task. In Malabù and the magic sheep the local bully is ridiculed. It does not pay to be a bully because you might always come across someone who is smarter than you and might make you lose face.
