Marissa LaRocca is an award-winning writer, speaker, and bestselling author of Starving in Search of Me: A Coming-of-Age Story of Overcoming an Eating Disorder and Finding Self-Acceptance (Mango, 2018) and Everyone Is a Freak: Anonymous Confessions About Sex, Sexuality, and Desire (Pilot Press, 2019).

Additionally, Marissa is the CEO and Founder of Pilot Press, an innovative publishing company that works with new authors and social media influencers to write, edit, design, publish, and market books aimed to enlighten, empower, and transform our generation. Marissa is a graduate of the Purchase College Creative Writing Conservatory where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing. Additionally, she has more than five years of experience in the self-publishing industry having managed the self-publishing program taught by The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City.
