Dr Mark Durie is an Australian Anglican pastor, a senior research fellow with the Arthur Jeffery Centre at the Melbourne School of Theology, and director of the Institute for Spiritual Awareness. He researches, writes and teaches on Christian theology and mission, interfaith relations, and Islamic studies. A graduate of the Australian National University and the Australian College of Theology, with a PhD in Linguistics and and ThD in Theology, he has held visiting appointments at the University of Leiden, MIT, UCLA and Stanford, and was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities in 1992.
