He leads an online support group for men navigating prostate cancer, offering guidance, solidarity, and hope to patients facing one of life's most daunting crossroads. Alongside his therapy dog, Andrew, he volunteers at an airport, senior living facilities, and a school for children on the autism spectrum, bringing presence, warmth, and more than a few smiles to people who need them most. It was in those visits that Mark recognized something he had also seen in his grandson: some people carry an extraordinary gift for spreading joy simply by being themselves. He had watched Andrew's effect on a child who rarely made eye contact, and seen a tired traveler's face transform the moment a dog rested his head in their lap. That insight became Milo's Superpower. Written with his cousin Justine and illustrated by Debbie Nolasco, this book is Mark's first for young readers. It draws on family moments, real encounters with Andrew, and a lifelong belief that every child deserves to be seen, celebrated, and reminded of how extraordinary their own gifts are.
