Marla Dean, MA., Ph.D. began writing plays for the stage in the seventies and has never stopped. A book of her dramatic literature will soon be published under the title, Gutter Plays. She has also directed some sixty plays and musicals. SIMPLE MACHINES is her first novel. Dr. Dean is a professor of theatre, creative writing and the Humanities. Currently she is completing her newest comedy, “The Environmentalists” and developing her second novel WATER WARS.
