Melissa Curtin never imagined herself as a writer, but thanks to a keen professor who insisted on active verbs and banished passive voice, she found her knack for putting words together. Mixing a bit of humor and tangible real-world examples, Melissa gives readers a glimpse into her story and shares hope for even the hardest circumstances. At the end of the day, her ultimate desire - encourage people and point them to Jesus through her writing.

Beyond words, Melissa loves to create things, whether it's crafting furniture for her home or crafting sentences for her book. Outdoorsy and sporty, she finds solace in nature and enjoys DIY projects…except for painting trim. Her favorite moments are spent with family and friends, sharing laughter and making memories.

Melissa's dream, if Jesus allows it, would be to write and speak. Having experienced restoration herself, she longs to help free more captives from believing their past pains and failures can only lead to dashed dreams and brokenness. Despite the warfare she's encountered on this journey, she believes in the importance of her mission, guided by far more reasons than she can begin to comprehend.

New on the scene as an author, her resume for writing and speaking in relation to encouraging the masses has room to grow. Down-to-earth and dynamic, Melissa pulls her audience in with authentic storytelling, a very expressive countenance and quite a bit of fun as she dives into some of the harder questions of life.
