Michael Fridgen has written both adult and young adult fiction and is a precious finalist for the Minnesota Book Award. His book about gay people during the Holocaust, The Iron Words, spent several weeks as Amazon's bestselling World War II title. Jacob Marley's Ghost, a prequel to Dickens's A Christmas Carol, has been featured in school library publications and is included in collections across the country.

Ancient Greek Mythology holds a special place in Michael's heart. He is obsessed with Homer's Illiad. Unlike Alexander the Great, who slept with a copy under his head, Michael keeps his copy of the Iliad on his nightstand because it was too uncomfortable to use it as a pillow.

Fridgen loves travel, theme parks, and Christmas. He lives near Dollywood and creates an enormous gingerbread house every Christmas.
