Michael Gerber (b. 1969) is the Editor & Publisher of The American Bystander humor magazine. He has sold 1.25 million books in 25 languages, most notably Barry Trotter and the Shameless Parody, which reached #2 on The London Times bestseller list and launched a renaissance in longform print parody. From 1995-2005, Gerber wrote for The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and TV’s “Saturday Night Live.” He is an active alum of The Yale Record, America’s oldest college humor magazine, and teaches writers and editors all around the world. An ardent fan of The Beatles, Gerber runs a team blog on the group, Hey Dullblog. He lives in Santa Monica, CA, with his wife and two cats.
