Michael Kardos is the author of the novels Bluff, Before He Finds Her, and The Three-Day Affair, as well as the story collection One Last Good Time. His work has won the Pushcart Prize and a Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award for fiction, and has been named a best book of the year by Esquire. He has a degree in music from Princeton University and played the drums professionally for a number of years before receiving his MFA from Ohio State and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
