Michael grew up in Oregon and graduated with a business degree from Cal State San Marcos in 2010. While attending school, he often questioned the courses required and wondered why more practical topics aren’t taught or emphasized in school? Topics like money management, understanding credit, and how to retire early. Once he graduated from college he took it upon himself to learn as much as he could about personal finance and habits that shape successful individuals. He spent six years working at Yelp.com climbing from account manager to the top sales position in the company. During which he started his first blog and found his passion for writing and inspiring others. In 2017, he quit his 9-5 corporate job to further his writing career and professional golf. Since then, he's become a top freelance writer, started two businesses, and competes in amateur golf events. His latest project is Wicked Smart Golf, where he teaches players how to play better without swing changes.
