Dear readers, well-wishers, and lost internet travelers, Hello, I’m Michael Sean, author of the Iterum novella series and The Seven Lies of Noelani Seafarer on Kindle Vella. I am a lifelong reader, writer, and storyteller. I have been publishing since October of 2020. Some of my projects have included books, short stories, and articles. I enjoy weaving beautiful stories and capturing the imaginations of my readers. At university, I studied psychology and human behavior, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have worked extensively with the psychologically afflicted in various settings. As a result, my writing contains real, psychological undertones. The subject of mental health is important to me and presents itself, sometime subtlety, in most of my works. From a young age, I loved the art of storytelling and turning words into something beautiful. Before I could write, I told stories and devised plots with toys, sticks, bugs, or whatever I could get my hands on. A young me devised back stories and characters for everything. In the third grade I entered a creative writing contest at school and won. That was when I discovered writing stories brought me joy. When I was in high school, I was assigned with rewriting a scene from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter. I chose to write a first-person scene from Hester’s husband’s point of view. I wrote it as a dark thriller while vividly describing his jealousy. Some of the stories were chosen to read aloud and to my horror, I made that list. The reaction I received from my classmates moved me in a peculiar way. At the conclusion I had the attention of everyone in the room. Silent exclamations of “OMG” were whispered as a few hands covered their mouths in shock. The room fell into chaotic applause, while one girl was moved to tears. Their appreciation for my writing style was fundamental in its development over the next several years. I live in the rural south-eastern United States where it is always warm and sunny. I write nocturnally, spending several overnight hours per week on my various projects. Checkout my works by following links on my website.
