Hello, I'm Michael, I think of myself more as a storyteller than a writer. I love a good story. I have been writing for years just to get the stories out of my head. I honestly had no real intention to publish anything until I was encouraged to do so by my family. My background is military medicine, although I seldom put any of that into my stories. A bit of my medical knowledge went into the Deadly Cure, but that was really just meant to be an e-mail story to my son-in-law, who happens to have type 1 diabetes and asked me if I thought there would ever be a cure for it. Artificially in love is a short story that was inspired by a news article about an AI "Falling in love" with an interviewer. I was tired of all the AI stories being about how they wanted to wipe out humanity, and instead, I thought it would be interesting if AI just wanted to be human. I did sell the movie rights for that one. I heard that 80 percent of movie projects don't actually make it, so I presume that "Artificially In Love" will remain just a short story, but I suppose only time will tell. The only currently published work of mine that isn't a short story is "My Ghostly Girlfriend," Inspired by unknown forces in my imagination. I find storytelling relatively easy and editing incredibly difficult. This is meant as an apology for any editing errors that I am quite positive are present. I hope you enjoy the stories; I have several others that I work on when I can. Having a full-time job that isn't writing, does slow down the publication process. I wish you all the best, and happy reading.
