I was born in Sheffield, England in 1968, and I've always held a deep belief in ordinary people doing extraordinary things. To me, heroes are not born; they discover themselves when the time is right. We are all heroes in our own right, and that's what I strive to convey through my writing. The characters in my stories are everyday people, just like you and me, who find themselves in extraordinary situations. As the story unfolds, they tap into their inner heroes, triumph over their fears, and become the best versions of themselves. This inner secret resides in all of us, and yes, it's in you too. My career has been a testament to this belief. I have always pushed myself to try new and challenging experiences. Over the years, I've been a motorcycle courier, electrician, games programmer, Special Constable, infantry soldier, military intelligence officer, and currently a truck driver. Along the way, I've taken flying lessons in a microlight and trained in martial arts. I initially thought I was just pushing my boundaries, but it turns out that I was preparing myself to write realistic fiction.
