MS MICHEL MOORE is a multi title Essence Magazine Bestseller. Against all odds, she has reached goals that once appeared unattainable. Armed with a strong ambition to succeed, MS. MOORE discovered hard work does indeed pay off. Born in Detroit, Michigan where she still proudly resides, the award-winning author has soared to become a well-respected business woman and community activist. Kick starting her literary career in early 2004, to date she has crafted more than thirty novels. They span several various genres; including Urban Fiction, Non-Fiction; Young Adult and Christian. With hard hitting Urban Books (Carl Weber) published titles “Coldhearted and Crazy”, “Young & Hungry”, “Homeless”, “Testify”, “Kingpins Detroit” and “Married to The Shooter” she has made her mark solidifying her name in the game. Wearing yet another hat, Moore stepped into the film industry, a Producer and Scriptwriter. In mid-November of 2023, one of her many notable novels, she converted into a screenplay. Sloppy Seconds was released to various streaming platforms where it continues to gain the same buzz worthy attention her novels have throughout her twenty year career. Deeply rooted in the preservation of the ever declining “brick and mortar” traditional bookstores, the avid reader/author took a leap of faith opening Hood Book Headquarters in 2006. In 2018 she founded the now famed Detroit Hustle & Grind Urban Literary Convention which showcases some of the most notable names in the book world.
