As a military dependent, Michelle moved between San Diego, California and Charleston, South Carolina. A career in medicine brought her to Michigan State where she completed a pediatric residency program. After over twenty years in clinical medicine, she accepted a job as a medical consultant. As a member of Crime Writers of Color and Capitol Crimes, a sub-chapter of Sisters in Crime, her writing interests cover many genres—mysteries, thrillers, and fantasies. Her protagonists, like herself, are perimenopausal women who write to fill a void. Most days you can find her outside in her garden, drinking tea or biking.
